Help is hard to get from Topfield at the moment. Try this site for firmware links: as well as other help: 2. Try this, turn the power off at the wall. Leave it off and press and hold down the power on button on the unit (not the remote) for about 10 sec. Then turn the power on again.

If you were using TAPS then hold down the 0 (zero) key as it starts up. If no TAPs don't worry about holding any key as it starts. If the unit finally powers up normally do the usual reset services and rest to defaults.

Firmware updates are done by loading the firmware file to a usb stick, then via the menu do the firmware upgrade routine. Cheers Referee. Also have been trying to find where to download SmartEPG (SE) tap but have not been able to find it??? Hi Graham, Try this site: (Any problems PM me) That is a full install of the latest versions.

It even pulls across the firmware.dat file which identifies which Topfield it is being loaded on. If you wish to use Logos for each channel for your area displayed within the Guide, then download this package as well. Finally there is an Oz User Guide which is not quite up to date ATM, but not far from it, here: BTW If you set up a Favourites List in the default Menu area, then SE when configured through its menu, will display its Grid Guide in the same order rather than by LCN. Channels can be deleted by pressing OK and then the Option button allows the channels (services which are desired to be deleted or renamed as per the users choice. That should keep you going for a little while.;-) Cheers Mike. What i would like to do is orgainize and delete some of the chanels in the guide or at the very least delete the chanels that are doubled up. You normally would not bother to delete channels.

They will get added back at the next scan etc. It is much easier to just create a favourites list of channels. Once you select the list then the Topfield only shows those channels in the Guide display, and steps through those channels as you surf up/down etc.

The favourites list is remembered through standby restart so there is no practical disadvantage doing it this way. I haven't done it for a while, and I don't have the manual or the 2100 near me just now, but from memory, I think, you need to. insert the USB drive. wait for the 2100 to tell you the USB drive has been recognised. display the list of recorded programs. highlight the program you wish to move/copy. press the yellow button (note the instructions way down the bottom of the screen).

select External (rather than Internal, which would move it to a different folder). select the USB drive (probably the only item in the list).and then click OK. A dialogue box will display something like 'copy in progress', and a progress bar will show how far through the copy process is. You do not need to sit there and watch it copy.

You can use the Exit button to get out of that screen and the copy will continue (if you select the appropriate option). Pcelarstvo 1000 pitanja download pdf. If it isn't exactly what I've typed above, it will be similar. Hope this helps.:-).

In the end had to do manual scan for each channel to avoid the doubles. Home based business accounting software. No you didn't. You could have simply deleted the unwanted channels/duplicates. You may be receiving signals from multiple transmitters. This is what is happening. The answer is to simply delete those duplicates with the weaker signal strength. It isn't the fault with the machine.

The machine simply picks up all the digital signals being broadcast. If other digital tuners can't pick up those duplicates, it is probably because their tuners aren't as good/sensitive as the Topfield's. Why that doesn't happen when manual scan the channels one by one, shouldn't it also pick up from multiple transmitters? Because they would be on different frequencies. Here on the Gold Coast, channel 10 is both channel 43 (I think) and 56 (I think).

I'm not sure of the numbers because I'm housesitting and there's no PVR here that I can use to check the channel numbers. Same story with 9 and 7. I keep the extra channels because programming is sometimes different, the northern NSW stations having a different news and different viewing times for other programs.

For example, various firmware have introduced recording 4 services, wireless support, NTFS support, and Home Media. Each firmware is standalone, not cumulative, so you can install either a newer or older firmware than the one currently installed. There are 2 ways to update your firmware:. manually, by copying the firmware file onto a USB stick and connecting it to your PVR, or. Over the network, by connecting to the firmware update server at Topfield. It is recommended that you update manually as the firmware available from the update server (at Topfield Europe) has not always been tested locally.

Before you start For the 7160 and 7100+ you need to select the firmware build with the you units System ID as there are two different system IDs. You cannot accidentally install the wrong version. If you use internet update it will only look for updates with the same System ID. If you use TMSTimer you can save your timers and restore them after the firmware update has been made.

Smart EPG has the same facility. Installing firmware compiled after 1 January 2014 Changes to the firmware require abundant caution installation. Once the initial service scan has been completed, do a factory reset, power off the Toppy. Power-up the Toppy and do another factory reset. Now prepare the PVR for the update. First perform a full factory reset on the PVR (Installation Menu-System Recovery).

Reboot the PVR and then insert the USB stick. Wait a few minutes for the USB device to be attached. Next go to: Menu-Installation-Firmware Upgrade. You should see your USB device next to USB Firmware Upgrade.

Click OK and select the firmware file to install. Once installed perform another full factory reset, reboot the PVR, and then scan your channels and setup your timers. If you use TMSTimer you can restore timers if you backed them up before the firmware installation. There is probably a similar option in SmartEPG.

If you use IceTV Interactive, your use IceTV interactive to resend all timers. For firmware November 2011 and later it will include timers created on the Toppy as well as those created via IceTV Interactive. Internet update (not recommended) The only difference is that rather than selecting USB you select 'Network Firmware Upgrade'. The server name is update.topfield-europe.com. There is only one version of the firmware for each Toppy model on the server, and it may be the same build, or an earlier build, than that already on the Toppy. If so, a message appears indicating there is no updated firmware. Abundant caution firmware update If the Toppy is behaving erratically, or when significant changes have been made in a firmware, you may need to follow the 'abundant caution' process.
